About Focus Points

Focus Points Family Resource Center is a non-profit organization committed to serving low-income families in the greater northeast Denver area.

Adult Education Programs

  • English Classes: They offer six levels of English classes at 4 locations across the greater Denver area. Whether you barely speak a word of English or are nearly fluent, our classes can help you take your English language skills to the next level.
  • Adult Basic Education and GED Preparation: The GED program offers classes for all levels of literacy and math skills. 

Early Childhood Education Programs

  • Parents as Teachers (PAT): For children ages 0-3. Promotes the optimal early development, learning and health of children by supporting and engaging caregivers.
  • Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY):
    For children Ages 3-5, works with families in the comfort of their own homes to support parents by making sure their children are ready for kindergarten.
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE): For children Ages 2-5. ECE offers a virtual preschool program to support families learning and growing at home.

Grief Counseling Services- Judi’s House

Judi’s House provides support to children and families grieving a death. Services are provided to youth ages 3 to 25, and their families at no charge.

Trauma & Disaster Recovery Clinic at DU

The Trauma & Disaster Recovery Clinic (TDRC) provides psychological support to individuals and communities who have experienced stress, adversity and/or trauma. We utilize an integrative, need and strengths-based approach that is culturally informed. Our services are continually evaluated to ensure effectiveness and are not restricted by status.

Mental & General Health Support Services

La Cocina provides full access to traditional and nontraditional forms of mental health and health equity support services for the Latinx immigrant community.

Aurora Mental Health Center

Aurora Mental Health Center is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic offering services to address a wide range of mental health conditions. Individuals and families rely on us to help them cope with a variety of challenges. Our staff of physicians, nurses, psychologists, therapists, and peers works with all age groups, from children to seniors.

Free Well-Being Support for Immigration Stress and Trauma- DCAC

Our Immigrant Family Initiative provides mental health services specifically to families and children who are experiencing trauma or stress as a result of their immigration status or situation.

MotherWise empowers women and their families to thrive during pregnancy and after a new baby is born.

Disability Support and Education Services-El Grupo Vida Colorado

El Grupo VIDA is a network of Hispanic/Latino parents formed to provide mutual support for people with disabilities or special needs, their parents, family, and guardians.
